Getting Focused

I originally started this site and blog to connect and share work with potential clients. Since I have stopped pursuing photography work I have continued to post photos of things going on in life and some random work here and there. As the beginning of the year came around I started to evaluate my life and realize I am incredibly unfocused. So I am trying to look at my life and see what I can cut out to be as focused as I can be on what God has for me right now. So, in the next couple of weeks I will be taking this site down. I will also be absent from social media except for using Facebook to connect and keep in touch with people. I hope this time will lead to a renewed vision for how the internet can play a part in what God has called me to do as well as some new creative work.

So for those of you who  stop by on a regular basis I wanted to say thanks for your encouragement and support and hope to see you when I get back.

Kirby - I’m looking forward to your swift and rejuvenated return!

Angel Tree

This is a story about how being involved in the Angel Tree, a program that helps provide gifts for children whose parents are in prison, impacted Tonie Davis and her family. We shot this as a part of our Christmas Invitation initiative to highlight some ways families at Blue Ridge could get involved in giving this holiday.

Life is Short…

Life is short. I do not want to get to the end of my life and think “Where did the time go, I wish I would have lived my life differently.” I want to honor God with my life, I want to follow Him. But I need His help in order to do that. I need his word, his spirit, community, and grace.

Psalm 103:15-18 “As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.”

James 4:14 “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.”

Christmas Responses

This project was a first for me, it was fun working on something a little different. Colin Harman did most of our motion graphic work before but now that he is at North Point Community Church, I got to take a stab at it. Since I hadn’t done anything like it before it was a little nerve wracking starting off, but a day or so into the project things started to come together.

Colin Harman - Tim, Seriously? Great job man! Really great.

Michael Stidham . A Portrait

A couple of months ago now Michael Stidham came on as our graphic designer in residence at Blue Ridge Community Church. He does really great work, and the coolest thing of all is he has a heart that desires to follow God.

Since getting my new strobes and modifiers from Paul C. Buff I haven’t used them very much. So, when Micheal showed up early for our small group that meets in my studio and I had the lights set up I took advantage of it.
